Olive Oil's Herby Deliciousness

The edible version of this recipe is avalible in the Extra Groovy Recipe Pack vol 1.

Directions

  1. 1/3 Cup of Olive Oil. If you don't have olive oil go for a neutral taste oil.
  2. Minced, fresh or dried Onions and Garlic.
  3. Various herbs and seasons with the ever useful Garlic powder, Italian Seasons and a touch of crushed red pepper if you can handle it.

This is a sit, set and forget about it oil that you can use on flat bread or a dunk for any good bread, you can even use it under a layer of cheese for a white pizza.

Start this after you start your dough so the oil will be room temperature when you need to work with it.

Put the oil in a small pot, you want it to get hot but not frying the dried herbs you throw in. You're not trying to cook shit, you're heating up the oil and plant matter so they can transfer some tastes. You don't need the technical explanation, and I'd confuse it, but when it's a social occasion fats & oils dance with the flavors.

Another way of looking at this is like brewing/steeping the herbs like a teas. Same basic concept but with oil instead of water.
